Learn GarageBand in 30 Days App Reviews

I was hoping for more instruction on how to use the instruments.

I was so excited about this album after JTs week on Jimmy Fallon, SNL and all the other coverage on JT of late. I had really become a Fan, and couldnt wait to buy it. I was so dissapointed, on the Production of this record. I love his Live Band, and vibe and really wished that wasnt lost here. I hope JT makes a Live Album from this upcoming Tour with that AMAZING BAND, JT is probably the greatest singer on the Planet today! His Live performances were the Best, Ive heard in Years! Please give us more of You, and Your Live Band!!!!

This app is straight forward and easy to understand. It teaches you the Mac version notIpad version but but a few added rhings in the Mac version you can cross use this app to learn the Ipad version. I go back to the beginning often to see what i might have missed and have found im trying to hurry to learn everything i can then to try it out. I suggest you take your time and really comprehend what this pragram does it is a very good app im happy i got it.

This app includes many detailed videos that take you through the steps of setting up the software & hardware to record and edit your music. Perfect for a music lover who just wants to play around with music or for a serious musician who wants to learn how to get started recording music with hopes of being in the music business.

This app is a great introduction to Garage Band. For someone that opened the program for the first time, I feel like everything was explained in a clear and concise manner. Joey, the instructor, is fun to follow along with.

As with many of the mahalo apps, this one is quite good. Very informative and can give the newcomer an overview of what is involved and the veteran who just wants play around with new sounds the opportunity to do it.

This app rocks! This app gives a complete tutorial on how to use the Garage Band site, apps and tools. With 10 chapters and over 80 lessons, it is well worth the price. Each lesson has text and video, along with screen shots. It is easy to follow. Definitely a must have to get up to speed with Garage Band!

Truly a worthwhile app that pays for itself with the number of lessons offered and the variety of instruments , pedals, editing and other techniques it gives tutorials on. My only criticism with this Mahalo app is that it cannot be viewed landscape and thus I cant put my iPad on the stand while watching the videos. So multitasking is not really an option. But excellent, organized videos here and a great way to master Garage Band.

I love this app and cant believe it is as inexpensive as it is. This all gives you a complete walk through of Garage Band compete with video and screen shots. I have never even opened Garage Band before and I found following the directions to configure the software very easy. It gives an easy explanation to things I would likely not be able to do on my own. I am looking forward to using this app to learn even more about Garage Band.

Whether you own a rock star fixation or like to tinker around with ditties or just plain like to be plain playful this app gives you some real bang for your $4.99. in over 81 lessons on HD, your host, ace guitarist, engineer and producer Joey Biagas teaches you how to work solo, solo with a synth backup, or how to make a start with a real band of your own featuring the likes of guitar, keyboards and drums. It’s all very impressive. If, for example, you want to create horn parts, but don’t know how to write charts, L.G.B.. will show you how. Indeed, although I have two kids who are competent musicians, I am definitely someone who picks out my own pop ditties by ear. L.G.B.. works for me because its clear and simple, while my son has already put together some mighty good horn charts which come out of the synthesizer, adding superb filler for his own Stratocaster leads, bass and drums. Additionally, if you’ve got more of a croak than a voice, like me, it shows you how to auto tune your voice, create your own loops, backup voices and sequencing. There are other garage band apps and programs, but I haven’t experienced anything that’s even close in its teaching ability.

This app is perfect for beginners who just want to goof around on Garageband and make decent-sounding music, and it’s very good for musicians who want to record professionally and are just picking up Garageband as a recording tool. Even after being familiar with GB for a long time now, I learned a thing or two from Joey Biagas, a friendly and knowledgeable dude who does the various lessons. The app covers everything from Magic Garageband to auto-tuning, quantizing audio and pedals, and there aren’t any loose ends or questions that I had at the end. The videos are short (roughly two minutes long), but you learn a lot. Overall, Learn Garageband has an easy-to-use interface, the videos are great, and I’d recommend it to anyone who wants to master the program and who’s willing to pitch in a few bucks to do so.

This does nothing to help if you need the iPad version. Completely different and was a waste of my money yet it was under the iPad apps????

Watched 10 videos. App crashes when switching to the next video 80% of the time. Very basic narration with some corny humor thrown in. Good for beginners. Sometimes a little too repetitive or unnecessary narration. Fix the crashes for another star. The instability makes me apprehensive to buy other Mahalo apps like Learn Guitar. (Which you have to buy, then purchase more in-app.)

If you have the GarageBand, then you need the one..

Not Bad app to learn Garageband

I am so glad that I found this app because I just got Mac and I have been trying to figure out GarageBand for a long time and I found this app and and a light went off in my head. So thats why I love this app. :-)

First off, let me say that I dont rate or write reviews, but this app was too good to be silent about. I just got my first Apple computer (MacBook Pro) with this program that I heard so much about. I toyed with it a little and thought it was cute but not something I would use often. I then stumbled across this app on sale (free), and so I downloaded it on a whim. I am so glad I did! The lessons are clear and precise and allows you to keep track of which you completed and which are your favorites. I 100% recommend this app for anyone with GarageBand. Free or not, its worth the money. Thanks to this app, I deleted all ringtone-creating apps I had on my iPhone and am now walking around, showing off my custom KHII (geek talk for Kingdom Hearts II) ringtone I made from scratch! This app is worth it!

I like the format. Presented well, with no distractions. Only real flaw is that the videos often refer to things that have not been covered yet. A few grammatical errors as well, but nothing that takes away from the experience. Some cheesiness too from the instructor, but at least he is having fun and is able to explain things well enough for people new to GB. Good job overall.
